Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 blocks frozen udon
- 1 ½ tbsp Gochujang ( Korean Chilli paste )
- 2 tsp Gochugaru ( Korean Chilli powder)
- 1 tbsp garlic
- ⅔ cup cream
- ¼ cup of udon water
- 1 tsp soy
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Toppings: - Green onion
- Cilantro
- Shredded cheese
Seasoning the shrimp:
- 6 – 8 shrimp peeled and deveined and pat dry
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp paprika

- In a medium pan, melt the butter and add garlic and the shrimp. Seasoning the shrimp, and cook the shrimp for 3 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the udon according to the package instructions. Reserve some of the udon water before draining, then set the noodles aside.
- Once the shrimp are cooked, remove them from the pan. In the same pan over medium heat, add oil and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Next, add in the gochujang paste
- Reduce the heat to low, then pour in the cream and reserved udon water. Stir well, add soy sauce and sugar, and let it simmer for 1 minute, then add the udon noodles.
- Toss the noodles in the sauce until they are fully coated.
- Add the shrimp back into the pan and toss everything together for about 30 seconds.
- Garnish with green onions, cilantro, and a sprinkle of cheese.
- Enjoy your flavourful, spicy udon noodles!
