In a medium pan, melt the butter and add garlic and the shrimp. Seasoning the shrimp, and cook the shrimp for 3 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the udon according to the package instructions. Reserve some of the udon water before draining, then set the noodles aside.
Once the shrimp are cooked, remove them from the pan. In the same pan over medium heat, add oil and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
Next, add in the gochujang paste
Reduce the heat to low, then pour in the cream and reserved udon water. Stir well and let it simmer for 1 minute, then add the udon noodles.
Toss the noodles in the sauce until they are fully coated.
Add the shrimp back into the pan and toss everything together for about 30 seconds
Garnish with green onions, cilantro, and a sprinkle of cheese.
